Claims and contentions

Pledge of support

A number of events have marked the 16th Anniversary of the Rwandan genocide this week. H.E. President Paul Kagame and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon were among those that pledged to continue to support the survivors of the Rwandan genocide.

Sixteen years on

Sixteen years on from the genocide in Rwanda and there remain many challenges for survivors. The focus of this year’s commemoration is managing cases of trauma, a focus of You Alone May Live, the book published today by SURF Founder, Mary Kayitesi Blewitt.

Passover

Commemoration

March 22nd, 2010

April 7th marks the 16th Anniversary of the Rwandan genocide. Through the support of Awards for All of the Big Lottery Fund, SURF is this year supporting three commemoration events in the UK to mark the anniversary.
