SURF celebrates Good Gifts

SURF has been selected to feature in the Good Gifts Catalogue, an initiative of the Charities Advisory Trust (CAT).

The support that SURF has received from CAT since our first grant in 2004 has proved to be critical for thousands of survivors – helping orphans to pay for school, school uniforms and even school dinners and supporting widows to establish income generating activities ranging from dressmaking, coffee growing and beekeeping.

The new Good Gifts catalogue is soon to be launched, through which you can buy a range of presents that benefit survivors, as well as a number of  communities in need:

Rwandan peace plantation
Prize bull semen
Prize bull
New dress
The Orphan’s dowry
2 pairs of shoes
18 pairs of flip-flops
An African farmyard
A cow
2 goats
5 chickens and a cockerel
A three-year degree course for an orphan

The price of the gift is passed on to SURF in full. So it is an excellent way of solving your gift problems, and supporting our work. Gifts range from £10  (for the bull semen delivery) to £1,250 (for the three-year degree course).

The Good Gifts Catalogue has a wedding list and wish list service, particularly suitable for special ocassions like anniversaries or significant birthdays. You can use Good Gifts presents and keep a few in stock for unexpected birthdays or Christmas gifts.

The purchaser gets a card to give, or keep, acknowledging the gift, along with the guarantee that the gift is always wanted. SURF receives the funding enabling us to provide even greater support to survivors.
