Remembering the Victims
In early 2006, SURF met with Jean de Dieu Mucyo, who was then the Chief Prosecutor for the Republic of Rwanda. He is a survivor of the genocide, and lost a number of his family in the killings of 1994.
Since then, he has been working tirelessly to discover the bodies of victims of the genocide, and to ensure that they are finally laid to rest and buried with dignity.
In the video below, Jean de Dieu Mucyo talks about the need to bury the victims of the genocide and SURF's role in that important task.
