Uyisenga N’Manzi is a Rwandan non nongovernmental and non-profit making organization that was created in 2002 to respond to problems faced by orphans living in child-headed households affected by the genocide and/or HIV and AIDS.
It was constituted by Ministerial Order No 70/11 of 10 August 2005 that was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda No 20 (bis) of 15 October 2005. Its Head Office is in Kacyiru in Kigali.
The mission of Uyisenga N’Manzi is to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of orphans affected by the 1994 genocide and/or by HIV/AIDS living in child headed households by providing psychosocial and economic support to facilitate their integration in the working life with all the community.
The objective of Uyisenga N’Manzi is not to give assistance to the children and to make them dependent on the organization. On the contrary, the aim is to make them more self reliant and independent and achieve sustainable development.
