In August 2006, SURF organised an arts project in Rwanda for orphan survivors, facilitated by Irish composer John Browne, which resulted in the creation by the group of a powerful performance piece integrating music, drama, and dance, telling an orphan’s story of survival. Providing such opportunities for young survivors can be an important means of giving them a voice, and of communicating their experiences to others.
Return here in November 2011 to see an excerpt from the production.
