David has served as the UK Coordinator of Survivors Fund (SURF) from 2014 and is the one member of the team based in the UK. From 2009 to 2013, he served as Director, working closely with Sam and the rest of the team on the development of new projects including the Youth Entrepreneurship Training Programme with AERG and the Widowed Survivors Empowerment Project with AVEGA. He first began working with SURF in 2004 as a consultant, providing support to the then Director (and SURF Founder) Mary Kayitesi Blewitt.

David has an MPA from New York University, and an MA from Cambridge University. He is an NYU Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship and a 2013 Clore Social Fellow.
