Untold Stories is a new short film produced and edited by Andrew Sutton for Survivors Fund (SURF) to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2011.

The film features the testimonies of four survivors – Cassien, Simeon, Sandrine and Clare. Comprehensive versions of the testimonies of Cassien, Simeon and Sandrine feature in our exhibition, Heroes of our Time, which is available to download for free and hopefully will serve as a valuable resource for event organisers for Holocaust Memorial Day.

Clare’s full testimony featured in our book Survival Against the Odds, an electronic version of which is available as well to download. Tragically Clare passed away from an AIDS related illness, a result of her being raped and infected with HIV during the genocide in 2003. The film is dedicated to her.

Also included in the film are excerpts of interviews with Jean Gakwandi of our partner organisation Solace Ministries, and Assumpta Umurungi and Odette Kayirere from our partner organisation AVEGA Agahozo.
