In July, three of the trustees from the Survivors Fund (SURF) UK Board, Sam Hunt (Chair), Adrian Veale (Treasurer) and Will Goodhand, visited Rwanda. The team undertook work with survivors providing business training for 50 young people from AERG (National Student’s Association of Genocide Survivors), as well as conducting a governance workshop and providing job searching tips to students at the AERG Hostel.
This is not the first time members of the team have visited the work of Survivors Fund (SURF). Adrian and Will have visited previously, delivering work through Project Umubano. Most recently Sam visited with a team of students and teachers from Sandhurst School, Reading, undertaking important work renovating houses for survivors in Ntarama Survivors Village as part of the Reaching Rwanda project.
