We are pleased to announce the publication of the SURF Annual Report 2013/14, which presents an overview of our work over the past year. You can download the report by clicking on the cover below:
The Annual Report is a summation of the many projects and activities undertaken by Survivors Fund (SURF). For a full picture of our work you can read the many news updates that we post here on our website. For a more visual representation of what we do, we have developed a short film , « Twenty Years On », which explains the work and relevance today of Survivors Fund (SURF), twenty years after the Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi.
2013/14 saw the handover of the leadership of SURF from David Russell to Françoise Lemagnen. Most importantly 2014 is a landmark year with the commemoration of the 20th Anniversary. SURF continues to advocate for and with survivor organisations, highlighting the continuing needs of 310,000 vulnerable survivors and the overriding importance of justice and reparation to them.
We are grateful to Ngaire Ackerley and Liam Dempsey of lbdesign for laying out the report, and to Drew Sutton of niceimages for principal photography. I also would like to acknowledge the major contribution of David Russell, my predecessor, in writing this report, and that of Jocelyn Waller and Hannah Jaenicke, of the Fund Rwanda initiative, who helped with proofreading.
